2019 AHAIN Awards and Recognition Program
The AHAIN Awards and Recognition Program celebrates the commitment and service of AHAIN members and their staff.
These awards provide opportunities to acknowledge the best in housing and community development. A committee will review the applications and the winners will be announced at the 2019 AHAIN Affordable Housing Conference & Annual Meeting.
In an effort to provide recognition of each level of AHAIN membership, the committee has created four categories for nomination:
Developer Level
Award for Rehabilitation/Preservation Construction:
Presented to a Developer for the modernization, rehabilitation, preservation, or alternative use of existing buildings, developments, or areas, regardless of their original architectural intent.
Award for New Construction:
Awarded to a Developer of newly constructed property/properties. (Construction must have been completed in the past twelve months.)
Management Company Level
Outstanding Management Company Award:
Presented to a Management Company for its invaluable contributions and years of commitment to the development and provision of affordable housing.
Property Level — Each award honors a property that demonstrates outstanding leadership in improving the quality of life by providing safe, decent and affordable housing.

- HUD Property Award
- LIHTC Property Award
Associate Level — Designed to recognize an Associate Member’s exemplary services and support of a resident, local housing authority, community development agency or other entity involved in providing affordable housing.
Outstanding Service to the Affordable Housing Industry Award
Presented to a vendor company/business serving the affordable housing industry.
