The Indiana Emergency Rental Assistance (IERA) program opened in March of 2021 and has already assisted more than 28,000 Hoosier households with rent and utility payments. Households are eligible for up to 18 months of assistance. Any months of assistance remaining after the first payment are reserved for future use by the approved household as long as they continue to be eligible for a program benefit. As of July 4, 2022, more than $358,622.927 has been committed serving these 28,100 households.
